Inmate Search in Grant County Jail
Grant County Jail, unfortunately, does not provide an online inmate roster list service. As a result, calling 608-723-2157 and speaking with a jail officer is the quickest way to locate an inmate. When making a direct inquiry to a jail officer, provide the inmate’s first and last name, ID number, or date of birth. It will yield quick results.
Important Jail Policies and Visitation Procedures
The visiting hours at Grant County Jail are as follows:
Male Inmates
Last name beginning with A through G Saturday 9:00 am – 11:00 am
Last name beginning with H through M Saturday 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm
Last name beginning with N through Z Sunday 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm
Female Inmates
Last name beginning with A through M Saturday 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm
Last name beginning with N through Z Sunday 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm
All inmates are permitted to have a total of four names on the visiting list. They can change this list once a month, and the information must be updated on the 8th of the month. Inmates must completely fill out the visitor’s list, including the visitor’s full name, age, address, and relationship. As proof of identification, all visitors must present a photo ID. Each session will last 15 minutes, but it could be extended if no other inmates have visitors waiting in the lobby. Each visitor is only permitted to see one inmate per visit.

Grant County Jail accepts commissary fund in two ways:
1. Deposit using the kiosk or teller machine, which is located in the lobby.
2. Deposit sent using postal money order (the money order must include the above mailing address.
