Important Jail Policies and Visitation Procedures
Through visitation, inmates are encouraged to maintain close ties with family and friends. All visitors must be listed on the inmate’s approved visitation list. A maximum of four names can be added to the list. Visitors must include an inmate’s children or stepchildren who are 14 years old or older. Those aged 13 and under are not required to be on the list, but they must be accompanied by an adult. It is possible that proof of guardianship will be required. All visitors must show a valid photo ID and pass through a metal detector. The inmate is responsible for scheduling visits. They can inquire with the pod officer about available visitation times.
Inmates are permitted to receive letters and photographs in the mail. Photos must be no larger than 46 inches in size. They should also be free of nudity. Frames and mats are not permitted. Polaroid photographs are also not permitted. Every piece of incoming mail will be opened and inspected for contraband. In addition, all incoming mail must include a complete return address.
