Important Jail Policies and Visitation Procedures

Each inmate at the Greenville County Detention Center is allowed two visits per week. Visitation sessions are held seven days a week. Every session is scheduled at 30-minute intervals. For security reasons, the jail administration will monitor and record all sessions. Depending on the inmate’s housing assignment, each visitation type may differ. As a result, it may occur on a video monitor or through telephone receivers with visibility through glass or vented glass barriers.
