Important Jail Policies and Visitation Procedures

The Sheriff’s Office Detention Division is in charge of housing inmates charged or convicted of criminal violations, transporting inmates to and from court appearances, monitoring the pre-trial release electronic monitoring program for the Caldwell County Courts, and protecting the Caldwell County Courthouse and its staff.

During business hours, deputies from the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office patrol the Caldwell County Courthouse and its grounds to ensure public safety. These deputies maintain order and safety in the courtrooms by operating metal detectors at the doors. They also transport inmates to and from courtrooms in an orderly fashion to ensure their own and others’ safety.
The Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office is in charge of the pre-trial release electronic monitoring program for the Caldwell County Courts. Offenders can return to their normal lives while being tracked via GPS transmitter.
