If you want to find someone, enter their full name in the text boxes provided or an identifier, such as their booking number, in the text boxes provided. The record of each inmate will include his or her full name, booking photo, biographical data, inmate information, incarceration information, alias information, bond information, detainer information, and charge information.

Important Jail Policies and Visitation Procedures

Visitation privileges are given to inmates at the Essex County Correctional Facility. The schedule for non-contact visits are as follows:

Wednesdays and Sundays:
Dorms 1, 2, 4 & 2C3 (Visits will be held on Level 3)
Dorms 3, 5, 6 & 7 (Visits will be held on Level 4)

Mail privileges are also granted to inmates. They can send and receive an unlimited number of letters. Books, magazines, newspapers, and other printed materials must be sent directly from the publisher or a reputable book store.

To send money to an inmate, family and friends can drop cash off at the Visitors Lobby Window Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., as well as at 1:15 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Postal money orders, bank money orders, cashier’s checks, and certified checks may also be mailed.
