Important Jail Policies and Visitation Procedures
Contact and non-contact visitation are available to inmates at the Burlington County Detention Facility. Inmates who have been incarcerated for 90 days and have met the requirements are eligible for contact visitation.
Non-contact visitation schedule:
A – L last names are allowed non-contact visitors on Monday and Wednesday.
M – Z last names are allowed non-contact visitors on Tuesday and Thursday.
Visits are scheduled to happen during the following hours: 9:30-11:30 a.m., 1-3 p.m., and 5-8 p.m.
Contact visits are scheduled on weekends. Signing up for contact visits will start at 10:30am. During Saturdays, there are 3 sessions and inmates with last names beginning with A – L are allowed visitors. The sessions are 11:30am, 12:30pm, and 3:30pm.
During Sundays, there are 3 sessions and inmates with last names beginning with M – Z are allowed visitors. The sessions are 11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., and 3:30 p.m.
Children under the age of 18 will not be permitted to visit unless the inmate is the child’s parent. They will not be included in the list of visitors. However, no more than two babies or children are permitted. They must be accompanied at all times by a parent or legal guardian. Each child will be required to provide identification (birth certificate, current passport).
Inmates are allowed to send and receive mail on a daily basis. With the exception of Amazon, any items sent via mail must be mailed directly from the purchaser. An inmate’s mailing address is as follows:

While visiting, family and friends can drop off money orders and cash. Money orders can also be mailed, and cash can be deposited at the Administration lobby on the first floor using the kiosk. They can also make a deposit by going to the Access Corrections website or calling 1-866-345-1884.
