Important Jail Policies and Visitation Procedures

Only family members who are at least 18 years old are permitted to visit. The inmate may request one visitor outside of immediate family. Children of inmates who are underage may be permitted to visit if they are accompanied by an adult on the visiting list. Mother, father, brother, sister, spouse, children, and grandparents make up the immediate family. In-laws are not considered close relatives. All visitors over the age of 18 are required to present a valid government-issued identification card, such as a driver’s license, state ID card, military ID, passport, or County ID. Acceptable identification must be issued by a government agency with a photograph and age verification. Work, school, and check-cashing identification cards are not accepted. Not a single exception exists.
Visitors are restricted to 20 minutes per visitor per visitation day. Any inmate who attempts to visit another individual through a jail window will lose good time, as determined by the Jail Administrator.
