Important Jail Policies and Visitation Procedures

Seven days after incarceration, all Jackson County Sheriff’s Office convicts are permitted to receive visits from family and friends. Each detainee is permitted no more than three visitors per day. All visitors who intend to see the same inmate must arrive at the visitation area at the same time. The Corrections Officer must be presented with a photo identity card. Every visitor will be subject to inspection. Every talk is subject to recording. Children under 48 inches tall are not permitted to visit an inmate. All guests under the age of 17 are required to be accompanied by a parent. Food, beverages, luggage, purses, mobile phones, and other recording devices are prohibited within the jail.
