The Marion County Jail does not have a list of inmates who are incarcerated there. The State of Kansas, on the other hand, provides statewide inmate search through the Kansas Adult Supervised Population Electronic Repository (KASPER), with filters such as First, Last, and Middle Names, KDOC Number, Social Security Number, State ID (KBI) Number, and Advanced Search (Race, Gender, Birth Date, Age Range, Conviction County, Parole Supervision County, CC Supervision Location, Facility (Inmates Only), Supervision Type. Each inmate file includes their Names, Birthdates, Demographics (Eye Color, Hair Color, Height, Weight, Gender, Race), Current Status as reported by the Department of Corrections, Convictions (County, Case Number (I), Offense Date, Sentencing Date, ACS, Criminal Conviction Description, Counts, Crime Severity Level, Case Status (II), State), KDOC Physical Location History(s) (Location, Movement Date, Movement Reason), K (Date, Class, Location, Type of report). Important Jail Policies and Visitation Procedures

Except when an inmate is prohibited from having visitors, inmates at the Marion County Jail are permitted to have visitors. Failure to follow the visitation rules will result in the cancellation of a visit and the visitor or inmate’s future visiting privileges being suspended. It is the inmate’s responsibility to follow all rules and to inform visitors of these rules in order for a scheduled visit to be completed successfully.

Inmates are given a visitation list to fill out when they are processed into the Marion County Jail. Inmates have the option of inviting up to four (4) visitors. All visitors, including regular visitors, family visitors, and out-of-state visitors, must be added to this list.

Upon incarceration, inmates will be assigned a visitation date. Please call the jail ahead of time to confirm the schedule.

On visitation day, inmates will be brought to the jail only once for a total of twenty-five minutes. Only two visitors will be permitted at any given time. Any additional people must wait in the waiting area if space is available. Everyone else must stay outside the office. All visitors must be on the approved visitor list of the inmate. Anyone under the age of eighteen must be accompanied by a legal guardian. All visitors must be appropriately attired. No revealing attire. If someone is not dressed appropriately, any Sheriff’s Office employee has the authority to refuse visitation.
