Important Jail Policies and Visitation Procedures

The Parke County Jail allows inmates to receive visitors. All visitors over the age of 16 are required to present a valid driver’s license. When visiting, individuals under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Cell phones and keys, along with other personal items, must be stored in the lobby’s lockers. Personal belongings are not permitted in the visitation rooms.Visitation hours are as follows:

Females – B Block
Friday at 6:30pm and 7:30pm

Males – C & E Block, Holding or Work Release
Saturday at 8am, 9am, 10am, 11am, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm, 4pm, 6:30pm, and 7:30pm

Males – A & D Block
Sunday at 8am, 9am, 10am, 11am, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm, 4pm, 6:30pm, and 7:30pm
Additionally, inmates may receive mail. All incoming mail must be enclosed in plain white envelopes, and all correspondence must be printed on plain white lined paper. Not permitted are photocopies, greeting cards, colored envelopes, and colored paper. All incoming mail will be inspected for illegal substances.
