Important Jail Policies and Visitation Procedures

Inmates at the Jefferson County Jail are permitted to receive visitors. They will receive a visitation card on which they may list the names of four people they wish to see. These are the only visitors permitted during the month in question. Two guests are permitted per day of visitation. During the final week of the month, a new visitation card will be issued.

All guests must be at least 18 years old and in possession of a valid government-issued photo ID. Former inmates of the Jefferson County Jail are not permitted to visit unless they have been released for at least 45 days.
