Important Jail Policies and Visitation Procedures

The Hamilton County Jail allows inmates to visit with their families and friends. Each prisoner is permitted two free visits per week. Remote visits incur a fee. Visits must be scheduled a minimum of 24 hours and no more than one week in advance. Visits can be scheduled via the Internet or the kiosk. All visits begin on the hour and half-hour and last 30 minutes. On-site visits are scheduled from Monday through Friday during these times: 8:30-10 a.m., 1:30-4:30 p.m., and 7:30-10 p.m. Only off-site visits are available during the same hours on weekends.

With the exception of minors, who must be accompanied by an adult, each inmate is permitted one visitor per session. A maximum of two children are permitted per registered adult. All visitors must present an ID card.
