Important Jail Policies and Procedures

Inmates are permitted two visits per week. To visit, all visitors must be at least 17 years old and present a valid state ID or driver’s license. Per visit, only two adults and two children over the age of three are permitted. Inmates must schedule a 45-minute visit at least 24 hours in advance. People under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a legal guardian or an adult parent. Visitors must be dressed properly and appropriately. All visitors will be searched prior to their arrival. Cell phones, food, drinks, purses, and packages are not permitted in the facility. Without prior notice or explanation, the Fayette County Jail reserves the right to refuse a scheduled visit.
